ALL 80'S MUSIC, ALL MORNING LONG

Calling all 80s nostalgia fans! Join Shawn Cleaves every weekend for a blast from the past on Flashback Saturday Morning, with all your 80s favorites from Adam Ant to ZZ Top and everything in between (including a little Weird Al thrown in for good measure)! Usually the show highlights a “Feature” year from the 1980s, including News and Sports Headlines, Movies, Trivia, and the best music hits of the year; sometimes instead of a single year we feature other 80s highlights – like our all “movie music” show - featuring nothing but songs from 1980s movies, and our all “number twos” show – celebrating all those 80s songs that almost went number one, but never quite made it.

Statistically speaking, chances are you spent at least some part of your lifetime in the 1980s, and you probably had a radio, too – now you can relive some of those those great musical memories with Shawn Cleaves on Flashback Saturday Morning!

SHAWN CLEAVES

Shawn Cleaves not only survived the 1980s, but survived middle and high school during the 80s (and Catholic schools at that) as well!!! Born in 1970, Shawn has the unique perspective of having been a 10 year old kid at the start of it the 1980s and a 19 year old college freshman at their conclusion.

Shawn began his radio career in 1989 at AM850 WLHD in Athens, Ohio while at Ohio University. Various and sundry dial positions (and a brief stint as a Jungle Cruise skipper at Walt Disney World) later, he found himself at Magic 98.1 FM, just south of Atlanta, GA. Maybe it was homesickness, maybe it was nostalgia, or maybe it was just that blank three-hour slot on Saturday’s programming log, but whatever the cause, the result was Flashback Saturday Morning – and Saturday Morning radio has never been the same (well, not since the Saturday mornings in the 80's originally...oh, you know what I mean)!!
